Cleanliness campaign "Ereikai-Ekhunggang Dagi Housi" enters Sth day

Thoubal, July 02 2025: A dedicated cleanliness drive campaign titled "Ereikai-Ekhunggang Dagi Housi", aimed at clearing accumulated plastic and other waste materials from the river of Salungpham Nongdambi and surrounding areas enters its 8th day today.

The initiative which began at the Salungpham Nongdambi River, is jointly organised by Arambai Tenggol Unit 3 and the family of Soibam Mangijao Meitei family.

Speaking in this connection, PRO Kishan Soibam appealed to the public not to dispose of plastic or other waste in rivers."He also urged people to place their waste materials properly, emphasizing that volunteers from AT Unit 3 will collect the waste on the last Sunday of every month.

The campaign has also garnered the support of AT Units 1, 2, 4, 5, 53 and 56, among others.

The initiative stands as a model of community-led action, aimed at preserving the environment and ensuring a cleaner healthier future for the next generation.
