Imphal, March 02 2025: Democratic Students' Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) demanded life-imprisonment for AOC and vice-principal of Little Star English Higher Secondary School allegedly involved in leakage of question paper for HSLC examination-2025 before 30 minutes of scheduled time.

Addressing media persons at its office on Sunday, DESAM general secretary N Thoithoiba thanked Manipur police and its cyber-crime unit for nabbing AOC Samadram Meghachandra and Yumnam Ranjit Singh, who is vice-principal of the school operating at Thoubal Haokha for their involvement in leakage of question paper for social science subject of HSLC examination-2025 .

Terming as unfortunate that a person who founded the school was involved in leaking the question paper and tarnishing image of diligent teachers, the secretary called for stringent punitive action against both.

According to Thoithoiba, the nabbed duo must be awarded life-imprisonment as per the provision of 'The Prevention of Malpractices in High School Leaving Certificate and Higher Secondary Act, 2024' and no lawyer should assist them as the when the case is brought before the court of law.

He also appealed to the Education (Schools) Department and COHSEM to annul recognition of Little Star English Higher Secondary School.
