ICC Manipur commemorates formation of Jukto Front

Imphal, November 30 2025: The Irawat Celebration Committee (ICC), Manpur on Sunday observed the 78 th anniversary of the formation of Jukto Front under the leadership of Lamyanba Hijam Irabot at Manipur Dramatic Union (MDU) hall in Yaiskul.

The event was graced by Langol Iboyaima, advisor, Progressive Writers' Association, Manipur; Dr M Nara Singh, chairman, ICC Manipur; and Th Yaiskul, president, Bharat Pensioners Samaj, Manipur as presidium members.

At the event, speakers recounted the contributions of Lamyanba Hijam Irabot in uniting the hills and the valleys of Manipur, leading to the formation of the Jukto Front at the MDU hall on November 30, 1947 .

They also stressed the need for the people to reaffirm the resolution which was adopted on November 30, 1947, and called for collective responsibility in preserving unity and peace across the State.

ICC Manipur secretary M Joykumar was also present at the event.
