1st anniversary of MY Bharat portal celebrated at Chandel, Thoubal, Ukhrul

Chd/Thb/Ukh, October 31 2024: The four-day "Diwali With MYBharat: Ye Diwali MY Bharat Ke Saath" initiative organised from October 27 to 30 to commemorate the first anniversary of MY Bharat portal concluded at Chandel, Thoubal and Ukhrul respectively.

At Ukhrul, the 4-day programme based on empowering the youth was jointly organised by NYK, Ukhrul in collaboration with the NSS Units of St Joseph and NSS Pettigrew College along with MY Bharat volunteers and other stakeholders.

The celebration was kicked off on October 27 and marked the first anniversary celebration of the MY Bharat portal by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.

Worchipem AC, NYK coordinator and ASI Yamao Yangya attended the event.

During the four-day youth empowerment programme, activities such as cleaning of Ava Market area to Mini Secretariat, volunteering at District Hospital Ukhrul in assisting and enhancing access to health services for the patients and traffic volunteering under the aegis of Traffic Department, Ukhrul Police at Phungreitang Traffic Junction was undertaken by MY Bharat volunteers.

Over 70 volunteers took part in the four-day programme held at Ukhrul town.

Additionally, NYK Chandel also observed "Diwali With MYBharat-Ye Diwali MY Bharat Ke Saath" in collaboration with the Japhou Youth Club (JYC) and other stakeholders by conducting a cleanliness drive.

The drive was carried out at the women's market at Japhou Bazar, District Council Dispensary and other parts of the main town.

NYK District Youth Officer, Rebecca Rangnamei and JYC general secretary Nicolas Ngoru Monsang participated in the drive.

Traffic volunteering under the aegis of Traffic Department Chandel headed by Th Majairong, ASI, Chandel Police was also conducted at DC Traffic Junction with active participation from MYBharat volunteers.

Lastly, NYK Thoubal also observed the event by organising a four-day programme in collaboration with NSS Units of Thoubal and MY Bharat volunteers from October 27 to 30.Through this initiative NYK Thoubal along with MY Bharat volunteers, Development Youth Club Athokpam, other youth clubs members and NSS units engaged in cleaning Khangabok Market, Khangabok Hr Sec School and nearby traffic points on October 27 .

Various other market places, health centres and traffic points were also cleaned in the subsequent days.
