Awareness on Rabi crops held

A one-day awareness programme on Rabi crops was held today at Cultural Heritage Complex, Andro Village, Imphal West.
The event was graced by Dr Joram Aniya, Member, NITI Aayog, as chief guest.
Others present included Dr Krishnananda Samurailatpam Sharma, advisor to Chief Minister; Dr Y Prabhabati Devi, Senior Scientist & Head, KVK Imphal East, CAU Imphal; Sh Chandra Meitei, village chief, Andro, and Prof K Nandini Devi, Dean, College of Agriculture, Iroisemba, CAU Imphal.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Joram Aniya urged farmers to embrace suitable agricultural practices and take pride in farming, reminding that being a farmer is a source of dignity and strength.
She lauded CAU for organising the programme, noting its role in empowering farmers and enhancing livelihoods.
A fanner-scientist interaction was held, providing farmers an opportunity to interact with experts and discuss issues related to Rabi crop cultivation.
Agricultural input including seeds, planting materials and other farm inputs were distributed to farmers.
