Imphal, August 30 2025: Shija Eye Care Foundation, in association with NPCB & VI (Manipur Chapter), SAVI, HD Foundation, and 48 Arambai Tengol-Sagolband, organised a 1-day free eye screening camp at Heinoupok Community Hall, Imphal West district yesterday.

As per a release issued by Shija Hospitals, the initiative was part of the foundation's continuing efforts to enhance access to eye health services in the region.

A medical team, including an eye specialist and trained technicians, screened 146 individuals during the camp.

Among them, 17 were identified and counseled for cataract surgery, while two were advised to undergo Squint surgery and four patients were referred to the base unit at Langol for further evaluation.

The programme focused on early detection and timely management of common eye conditions and was well received by the local community.
