As per a release issued by HQ IGAR (South), the event witnessed spirited participation from a diverse cross-section of society including school children, teachers, and members of youth clubs, forest officials and local residents.
Their combined efforts brought to life a shared commitment towards ecological preservation and revitalising the green landscape of the region.
The programme commenced with an engaging awareness session led by Assam Rifles personnel together with forest officials.
They facilitated insightful discussions on the critical importance of trees in maintaining ecological balance, mitigating the adverse effects of climate change and protecting the rich biodiversity unique to this area.
These exchanges emphasised the urgent need for collective action to safeguard natural resources for generations to come.
