CADA organises academic awareness programme at Heirok High School

The Coalition Against Drugs and Alcohol (CADA), as part of its ongoing campaign to combat the drug menace, organised an academic awareness programme on Tuesday at Heirok High School, Thoubal district.
According to a press release, the programme was held under the theme "The Impact of Narcotic Substances on Society".
At the programme, Hijam Priyokumar.
president, CADA; Khundrakpam Thambou, Asst Teacher of Heirok High School; and Athokpam Bimola, president of CADA Thoubal District Committee, attended as presidium members, while Ningthoujam Doren, vice-president, CADA served as the resource person of the programme.
During the session, Ningthoujam Doren, delivered a detailed presentation highlighting the detrimental impact of narcotic and addictive substances on students, and elaborated how it ultimately affects society as a whole.
He further emphasised the crucial role of parents, teachers, meira paibis, and senior citizens, in the fight against drugs and alcohol to make Manipur a drug-free state.
