AR conducts mega medical camps

Imphal, October 27 2024:
Assam Rifles conducted mega medical and dental health camps at Tuibong and Mata village in Churachandpur district on October 26 and October 27 respectively.
The eamps were held in collaboration with Indian Medical Association and GM Motiwala Education and Welfare Trust, Nasik.
A total of 1,480 people including 350 males, 540 females and 590 children benefited from the camps.
Specialist doctors in Orthopaedics, Dermatology, Gynaecology, Homeopathy and General medicine supported by medical staff of 14 Dental Unit Assam Rifles, specialists from District Health Services and "Doctors for you association" took part in the camps, said IGAR (South) in a statement.
Thirty training staff nurses from Besthesda College of Nursing provided para medical, logistics and administrative support for the said camps.
The events were marked by the distribution of free sanitary pads, sponsored by SHOISHOB-a foundation for children.
Kuki Women's Union, Indigenous Tribal Leaders Forum and Christian fellowship Church volunteers provided assistance, said AR .
