Imphal, April 27 2026: The Directorate of Environment and Climate Change, Government of Manipur launched the 7th State Level Media Fellowship on Climate Change Reporting (2026-27) today at the Minister's Block, Civil Secretariat, Mantripukhri, Imphal East.

The programme was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Losii Dikho, Advisors to the Media Working Group on Climate Change viz Pradip Phanjoubam, Khogendra Khomdram, and Salam Rajesh and Director, Directorate of Environment & Climate Change Dr T Brajakumar Singh.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy CM Losii Dikho emphasized the importance of informed media reporting on climate change issues.

Dr T Brajakumar highlighted that a total of 48 media fellows have been awarded under the programme and more than 130 articles have been published.

The fellowship was launched in the year 2018 .

10 media fellows have been selected for the 7th State Level Media Fellowship on Climate Change Reporting (2026-2027) .
