Ukhrul, November 26 2024: A medical team from Kohima, Nagaland held a one day free medical camp at Jessami village under Ukhrul District of Manipur today.

The medical camp which was organised by Jessami Baptist Church received an overwhelming response from more than 330 people directly benefiting from the medical camp which offered services like free consultations, free medical check up and free medicines for the people.

A team led by Dr Teweu Kapfo Tsido(Medicine) Assistant Professor, Department of Community Medicine, Dr Mhashesalu (Orthopaedic), Dr Khriekhounou (Anaesthesia) and Dr Senjele Kath (Medicine) supervised the health camp.

The people of Jessami extended their heartfelt gratitude to the medical team for organizing such an initiative in the village where the villagers for the past many years have been facing difficulties when it comes to health service as the doctors are not available at the CHC hospital in Jessami where only few nurses were taking incharge.

The villagers also appreciated Dr.Thomas Mero for holding such outreach programs in the village and also thanked the nurses of CHC Jessami for extending support during the medical camp.
