Sth PNNM General Conference inaugurated at Senapati

Senapati, February 26 2026:
The 8th General Conference of the Poumai Naga Naotumai Me (PNNM) commenced today at the district headquarters, Senapati, with Deputy Chief Minister of Manipur, Losii Dikho, inaugurating the event as chief guest.
The conference is being held under the theme "Ignite Your Sparkle" .
The programme was presided over by RB Pani, President of the Poumai Naga Union, while Joshila Sharma Pou, wife of Th Radheshyam Singh, MLA of 33-Heirok AC, served as chief host.
LS Champa, wife of late LS John, former Minister, attended as chief patron.

In her welcome address, P Louniiru, Advisor of the women body, extended greetings to the dignitaries and delegates.
She lauded the Deputy Chief Minister for his service to society and urged the gathering to pray for his continued leadership and well-being.
She called upon participants to make the conference meaningful and memorable.
Addressing the gathering, Deputy Chief Minister Losii Dikho described such conferences as vital platforms for social development and women's empowerment.
Expressing gratitude for the support extended to him, he said the responsibility of holding high office is not only for his political party, the Naga People's Front (NPF), but for the welfare of all communities.
He noted that women's conferences provide opportunities to foster unity, share insights and strengthen peaceful coexistence.
Highlighting the invaluable role of mothers, Dikho acknowledged the sacrifices and contributions of women in shaping families and society.
Recalling his own mother's hard work and influence in his life, he urged mothers to nurture responsible children to build a better and harmonious world.
Earlier in the programme, RB Pani hoisted the PNNM flag and the chief guest unveiled the conference monolith.
A special prayer for donors was led by Rev MK Levi Pou.
The event featured cultural performances including Gai-Gou, presentation of the conference theme song by Poumai artists, traditional wool-making demonstrations, folk tunes and dances.
The conference was attended by former Poumai elected representatives, present and former civil society leaders, members of the Karong Senapati Town Committee, and delegates from various Poumai Naga villages.
