MSF mourns demise of Kh Sharunkanta

Imphal, April 25 2026: The Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF) has expressed profound grief and offered its highest honors to Khangjarakpam Sharunkanta Singh, a dedicated former student leader, following his untimely demise.

According to a press release issued by MSF, Sharunkanta Singh, son of Khangjarakpam Samungou of Ningthoukhong Ward No 4, met with an accident around 10:30 pm on April 14 at Kha-Potshangbam.

He was admitted to the ICU at Raj Medicity for three days and shifted to RIMS on April 17 due to his critical condition.

He succumbed to injuries on the night of April 23 .

Sharunkanta was a Boys' Common Room member at Imphal College in 2013-2014 and served as an executive member at MSF Head Office from 2014 to 2016 .

The MSF highlighted his significant contributions to the student community and the broader Manipuri society, describing his loss as irreparable.

The federation shared the grief of the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
