Senapati DCC hosts Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan, February 25 2026:
The Senapati District Congress Committee (DCC) on Wednesday hosted the All India Congress Committee's (AICC) Project Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan (SSA) at Mao-Poumai Catholic Women's Hall, Senapati, with an aimed to rejuvenate the party at the grassroots level and ensure a democratic process in the appointment ofDistrict Congress Committee presidents.
AICC observer for Senapati and Ukhrul districts, HS Lucky, who is also the president of the Chandigarh PCC, presided over the meeting.
In his address, he emphasized the need to reconstruct the party organization starting from the Block Congress Committee (BCC) level to the DCC .
He emphasized that the focus of the mission is to make sure that the District President is elected in a very fair and transparent process and invited interested individuals from any block intending to serve as the District President to collect and submit the prescribed form.
During the interaction session, participants highlighted several key issues for strengthening the party.
They stressed the necessity of establishing a permanent office infrastructure for the District Congress Committee and urged the initiation of the process at the earliest.
The need for a structured fund-raising strategy for the party was also proposed.
Additionally discussions underscored the importance of the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) being more responsive and sensitive to the perceptions and concerns of the public in the district, especially in the prevailing social environment shaped by diverse narratives.
The meeting was attended by AICC observers, the Mahila Secretary of the MPCC, DCC executive members, and executive members of the Block Congress Committees of 47-Karong AC, 48-Mao AC and 49-Tadubi AC, along with other Congress workers.
