Imphal, June 23 2025: The JAC Against the Brutal Killing of Chesam Abdul Kadir alias Achouba of Paobitek Mayai Leikai has resolved to claim the mortal remains of the deceased and conduct the final rites following the arrest of the main accused Longjam Khaba.

According to the JAC, the body will be retrieved from RIMS morgue at 11 am tomorrow and the last rites will be performed at 5 pm at Paobitek Polo Ground.

The JAC has expressed its deep appreciation to the Manipur Police for their swift and effective action in apprehending all involved in the murder.

However, it also issued a stem warning saying if the State Government fails to ensure a fair and thorough investigation into the case, then intensified agitation will follow.
