AR organises 'Day with Company Commander', awareness programme

With an aim to strengthen the bond with the local populace, Assam Rifles has organised a "A Day with Company Commander" at Aibol Joupi village on June 22 .
According to a release issued by PRO of HQ IGAR(South), the event included a series of intellectual and fun-filled activities such as Quiz competition, Poem Recitation, Time Tables competition, Treasure Hunt, Singing, Musical Chair and Volleyball.
The villagers and students were also introduced to the functioning of the Assam Rifles.
The villagers wholeheartedly participated in all the events with great enthusiasm and vigour.
Later, a medical camp was conducted with the primary objective to extend medical check-ups and treatment to the people of Aibol Joupi village.
A wide range of medical services including general health checkups, maternal and child health care were provided to more than 134 individuals during the camp.
Moreover, Assam Rifles also conducted an awareness lecture on medical emergencies at Santing village in Churachandpur district on June 23.The programme included prophylactic demonstrations on snake bite, cardiac arrest (CPR), infectious diseases and alcohol & drug abuse along with a practice session of yoga asanas.
Additionally, medical aid was also provided to the villagers.
About 50 individuals attended the lecture while more than 20 children participated in yoga sessions, promoting physical fitness and mindfulness.
The event also covered topics on drug and alcohol abuse, aiming to raise awareness and educate the community on these important issues.
