Imphal, April 21 2026 : The Manipuri Sahitya Parishad and the Teachers' Forum of GP Women's College, DM University have condoled the demise of Dr Chongtham Jamini Devi, educationist, writer, and social activist.

Dr Jamini Devi served as Head of Department of Education at GP Women's College and later as Principal of DM College of Commerce, Imphal.

The Manipur Sahitya Parishad held a condolence meeting at its office, chaired by president Longjam Joychandra Singh.

The Teachers' Forum of GP Women's College also held a condolence meeting.

At both meetings, members shared the grief of the bereaved family and observed two minutes of silence to pray for the departed soul.
