Workshop, special camps held on Good Governance Week

The district administration organised district level workshop on Good Governance Week at DRDA conference hall, Senapati on Friday.
In the workshop, SDOs/BDOs, DLOs and employees of different departments were instructed to organise special camp/events to resolve public grievances and for improved service delivery during the Good Governance Week which will continue till December 24.As chief guest of the programme, Horticulture & Soil Conservation commissioner Thaithuilung Panmei expressed satisfaction on overall performance of the district, especially in the aspect of gender equality as the DC and the SP are both women officers.
He stated that Senapati district has high potential for development for all and also shared his experience on governance during his time as deputy commissioner of the district.
Stating that trust and participation of government employees and public is essential for good governance, he applauded the district administration and various other departments for carrying out various activities such as catch up series, deworming programme and other awareness campaigns.
As part of the programme, Senapati DRDA project director PP Ronald, DNO (adolescent health division) Dr Agui RK and SDC Panii Ngaonii highlighted on DRDA, Senapati best practices, achieving wellness through deworming and catch up series.
In Bishnupur district, the observance was held under the aegis of deputy commissioner Lourembam Bikram with special camps organised at various Gram Panchayats on Friday.
The special camps were set up at Khoijuman Kwasiphai and Nachou Gram Panchayats for Bishnupur CD block and Ngangkhalawai and Wangoo Terakhong Gram Panchayats for Moirang CD block with active public participation.
The campaign will cover different Gram Panchayats across all the three CD Blocks i.e., Nambol, Bishnupur and Moirang to facilitate provision of assistance and address public grievances.
Panchayat secretaries from the respective CD blocks coordinated the special camps, ensuring smooth operations in collaboration with the local Panchayat authorities.
The camps featured stalls from several government departments, including Social Welfare, CAF&PD, Education, Medical, Transport, PWD, MSPDCL, Sericulture, Veterinary & Animal Husbandry, District Child Protection Unit, and Agriculture among others.
The stalls provided a variety of services including issuance of certificates, new job card enrolments, and awareness campaigns on government schemes.
