Imphal, May 20 2025: Challengers Youth of Khundrakpam AC has demanded Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla to furnish a report on the incident at Gwaltabi wherein journalists headed to cover the inauguration of the 5th State Level Shirui Lily Festival 2025 were asked by Central security personnel to conceal "Manipur State Transport" displayed on the Government owned vehicle (bus) issued to DIPR .

Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club, James Leishangthem, president, Challengers Youth of Khundrakpam AC strongly condemned the instruction given by Central security force personnel to hide the phrase "Manipur State Transport" on the bus ferrying the journalists.

Saying that the public will not take such an act lightly, he said that the Manipur Governor should clarify before the people and explain who issued the order to the security personnel.

He questioned how the Central security personnel would treat ordinary citizens if such unfair treatment is meted out to journalists who are engaged in serving the public daily.

Without a proper clarification from the Governor, he expressed apprehension that the situation would add fuel to the ongoing Manipur crisis.
