Bishnupur, January 20 2025: A book titled "Chothegee Chatnarol Amasung Phunga Wari" written by Y Maipak Chothe and published by P Nandi Chothe was released today at Lamlanghupi Chothe village, Bishnupur ward no 12 .

The book contains various folklores of the Chothe tribe, its beliefs, tradition and customs.

As part of the programme a memorial stone dedicated to Makujaipou Chothe, father of P Nandi Chothe and P Chongasing Chothe, brother of P Nandi Chothe was also unveiled.

The book release ceremony held at the residence of P Nandi Chothe was organised by Lamhanghupi Chothe Village Administrative Council.

The book release event was attended by W Nabakumar, Retd Professor, Manipur University, Thao Jatra Chothe, chief of Lamlanghupi Chothe Village, Bishnupur ward no 12 and Lai Imoba, columnist as presidium members.
