Village Health Sanitation and Nutrition Day organised

Bishnupur, July 19 2025: Salai Taret Village Level Federation observed "Village Health Sanitation and Nutrition Day" at Ithai Wapokpi Ima Phadibi Laibung today along with conducting a one-day free health camp.

It is worth noting that the Salai Taret Village Level Federation is formed by 11 Self-Help Groups of Ithai Waipokpi area in Kumbi AC under Moirang CD Block.

The VLF was established under Manipur State Livelihood Mission under the aegis of the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj.

The health camp was organised by Salai Taret VLF in association with Primary Health Centre Kumbi and Ayushman Arogya Mandir Ithai.

The medical staff including Dr Nganthoi, MO, PHC Kumbi, Community Health Officer of Ayushman Arogya Mandir Ithai, Asha facilitators and male and female health workers treated around 100 patients today.

Additionally, Ayushman Arogya Mandir Ithai also distributed medicines to patients as part of their monthly Ayushman Arogya Shivir (AAS).

As part of the Village Health Sanitation and Nutrition Day, an event was held for the upgradation of the Village Health Sanitation and Nutrition Committee and formation of the Social Action Sub Committee.

The event was attended by Cluster Co-Ordinators, K Lenin and P Sheityajit of MSRLM Moirang CD Block, Internal Mentor K Premlata, Panchayat Ward Member and club members.
