Skill development training programme on Plant Nursery Associates begins at KVK Bishnupur

Bishnupur, June 17 2026: A residential skill development training programme on Plant Nursery Associates was inaugurated today at the training hall of Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Bishnupur, with the objective of empowering farmers through skill enhancement and promoting self-employment opportunities.

The 270-hour training programme is being organised by KVK Bishnupur under the CSS Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH), 2025-26, of the Department of Horticulture and Soil Conservation, Government of Manipur.

The inaugural function was attended by Commissioner-cum-Secretary of Horticulture & Soil Conservation, Government of Manipur, Thaithuilung Panmei, IAS, as the chief guest.

KVK Bishnupur Senior Scientist and Head, Dr Kh Brajamani Singh, presided over the function as the functional president.

Director of Horticulture & Soil Conservation, Government of Manipur, K Debadutta Sharma, and Mission Director of MIDH (Horticulture & Soil Conservation), Chungong Panmei, attended the programme as guests of honour.

Around 40 farmers selected from 16 districts of the State are participating in the training programme.
