Imphal, April 15 2026: Speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly Th Satyabrata has condoled the demise of Dr Maniruddin Shaikh.

The Speaker, in his message, stated that Dr Maniruddin was a distinguished public figure who was elected to the 9th Manipur Legislative Assembly from Lilong AC on an INC ticket and served the State with dignity and commitment as a Member and as well as the Speaker of the State Assembly.

A doctor by profession, he dedicated his life to the service of the people, both in the field of healthcare and later as a devoted social worker, the Speaker said.

Extending his condolences to the bereaved family, he prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
