MIYC elects new office bearers

Imphal, December 14 2025:
In order to continue its service to the people of Manipur and strengthen its organisational responsibilities, new office bearers ofthe Manipur International Youth Centre (MIYC) were elected today.
Altogether, 10 office bearers including MK Saroj Khan, Yaiphaba Khuman and Elangbam Praveenkumar were elected as president, vice president and secretary general of MIYC for the tenure 2026-28, said a release.
The MIYC has also released its Annual Calendar of Work-2026, presenting a comprehensive year-long roadmap for human rights advocacy, international law, youth political education, international relations, and diplomacy.
Notably, the MIYC, established on February 13, 1997, has been working consistently to foster the role of youth in nation-building and to elevate the political status of Manipur in the 21st century.
Since its inception, MIYC has contributed significantly to the welfare of the people of Manipur through its engagement in human rights, political awareness, cultural promotion, and international advocacy.
Among its landmark initiatives are the Delhi Rally of August 13, 1997; the UN Day Rally held on October 24, 1999; and the Manipur Cultural Festival- "A Mosaic of Culture" .
