Imphal, May 14 2026: A significant cultural and religious milestone was marked today at Wangoi as the Laiyingthou Malem Anganba Sanamahi Thougal Lup hosted a grand book publication ceremony.

The event, held at Wangoi, saw the release a pivotal literature aimed at preserving and promoting the indigenous Sanamahi faith.

The ceremony featured the publication of two significant titles: "Pokpa, Luhongba, Shiba gi Thouram Pareng" (4th Edition) and "Chingoo Khoiyum Shidaba Nongpok Ningthou Apanba, Chingoo Khoiyum Shidaba Nongpok Panthoibigi Khubhamlen, Pukhri Leikai, Kamalghat, Mohanpur, Tripura gi Chatna Pathap" .

The event was graced by dignitaries, including Maharaja Leishemba Sanajaoba, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha); Khuraijam Loken Singh, Minister for Arts & Culture and Tourism, Manipur; Korounganba Khuman, luchingpurel of Arambai Tengol; Ng Nongyai Singh, former Member of Manipur Human Rights Commission; Dr P Ranabir Singh, founder and chief advisor of LMAST-Lup; and Takhellambam Golamjat Singh, retired Senior Research Officer, Planning Department, Manipur.
