Free Heart Camp Screening Camp conducted

Imphal, November 13 2024: SKY Hospital & Research Centre Pvt Ltd in association with Manipur Heart Foundation (MHF) and Youth Voluntary Association, Wangjing organised a 1-Day Free Heart Screening Camp at Devi Mandop, Community Hall, Wangjing on Tuesday.

The camp provided an opportunity for early detection of asymptomatic and symptomatic heart diseases to the people from Wangjing, Lilong, Thoubal, etc.

During the camp, free Echo was done for 27 patients, ECGs for 52 patients, Blood Pressure checks for 103 patients and Blood Sugar tests were conducted for 22 patients.

Free medicines were also distributed to the patients.

Out of the 103 patients screened for various heart diseases, 2 children were found suffering from ASDx2 birth heart defects.

A 59 yrs old man was found to have severe heart valve stenosis (aortic stenosis).

Another 60 yrs old woman who had a heart attack previously was also examined thoroughly and advised for proper treatment.

These patients will have further assessment at SKY Hospital for Device or Surgical treatment.

Dr L Shyamkishore Singh, Chairman & Chief Cardiologist of SKY Hospital, Imphal expressed his happiness and satisfaction over the large turnout for the camp.

He also appealed to the people to avail the benefits of such free heart camps conducted by SKY Hospital and MHF in various districts of Manipur from time to time.
