Awareness programme on NRC organised

Kamjong, October 13 2026: An awareness programme on National Register of Citizens (NRC) under the theme 'Understanding Citizenship, Documentation and Our Rights' was held today at Khamlang, Kasom Khullen Sub-division in Kamjong district.

Kasom Khullen Subdivision Students' Union organised the awareness programme.

Trimson Saka, convenor of Working Committee Chandel Naga People's Organisation; Dr L Phaomei, convenor of United Zeliangrong Coordination Committee; Jeetendra Ningomba, convenor Campaign for Just and Fair Delimitation (JFD); Sunil Karam, secretary Finance and K Maharabi, IPR secretary attended as the presidium members of the programme.

Thirty representatives from 44 villages under Kasom Khullen Sub-division participated in today's awareness programme.
