Differently-abled man missing; JAC formed

Imphal, June 13 2025: The whereabouts of a differently-abled man from Paobitek Mayai Leikai under Wangoi police station, who left home on the night of June 10, remains unknown till date.

In this regard, a Joint Action Committee (JAC) has been formed.

The missing man has been identified as Chesam Abdul Kadir alias Achouba (29), s/o Chesam Abdul Zalin.

He holds a disability certificate issued by the Social Welfare Department.

According to a report, Kadir stepped out of his home around 11 pm of June 10 and has been missing since.

A report has been filed at Wangoi police station (PS) and subsequently, the JAC against the missing of Chesam Abdul Kadir was formed.

On Friday, locals led by the JAC members thronged the PS demanding immediate actions to trace Kadir, and warning that inaction would compel the JAC to launch intense protests.
