Imphal, March 13 2026:
Candidates who cleared the written test for 91 Office Assistant cum Computer Operator posts under the Medical Directorate are pressing the Government to urgently conduct the long-pending viva-voce.
The recruitment drive, notified on May 10, 2016, has dragged on for nearly nine years, leaving qualifiers in limbo and fueling widespread frustration.
A computer test was conducted from September 13 to 17, 2016, with 2051 candidates qualifying.
Subsequently, a written test was held on October 23 of the same year, and the results, declared on January 3, 2017, showed 310 candidates had passed.
The recruitment process has not been cancelled, but the prolonged delay has caused great disappointment.
Appealing to the new Government, the candidates urge immediate intervention to resolve the delay and complete the process.
