International Conference kicks off at DMU

Imphal, February 13 2026: A Two-Day International Multi-Disciplinary Conference titled "Discourses Beyond Boundaries" commenced today at the auditorium ofDM College of Arts, Dhanamanjuri University (DMU), Imphal.

The event is being jointly organised by the IQAC of DMU and the English Literary Circle, Manipur.

Speaking on the occasion, RK Sangsari, Head, Department of English, DMU, said that the conference aims to address the changing academic landscape.

"Subjects and fields were once distinctly separate, but time has integrated them all.

This convergence demands a grasp of their interrelationships to navigate ongoing changes - the very essence of this discourse", said RK Sangsari.

The inaugural function was graced by dignitaries, including Prof W Chandbabu, Vice Chancellor, DMU, Imphal; Debraj Mookerjee, Associate Professor, Department of English, Ramjas College, University of Delhi; Prof RK Landon, Director, IQAC, DMU, Imphal; Prof Th Ratankumar, former Head, Department of English & Cultural Studies, Manipur University; and Prof Lanchenba Meitei, Dean, School of Humanities, DMU and Principal, DM College of Arts.
