PCCF inspects projects at Chandel

Chandel, April 12 2025: Principal Chief Conservator of Forest and Additional Chief Secretary (TCI) and TA & Hills, Anurag Bajpai and several officials of the Government inspected development projects and schemes in Chandel district today.

Anurag Bajpai was accompanied by Soreiphy Vashum, Addl PCCF; Gaithaolu Thaimei, CCF-II; Sanajaoba Khuraijam, CF/Eastern Circle; H Boby Sharma, JS(TCI); Jiten Singh, Director (Handloom & Textile).

During the visit, a review meeting was held with the district administration and District Level Officers at the Mini Secretariat Office, Chandel.

L Nandakumar Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Chandel and many other high-level officers also attended the meeting.

Afterwards, Anurag Bajpai distributed livelihood improvement/generation items to 72 selected beneficiaries from 10 Joint Forest Management Committee (JFMCs) under Green India Mission, GIM under DFO/Chandel at the Multipurpose Hall, DC-Complex, Chandel.

He distributed 21 sewing machines and 51 bee boxes.

Anurag Bajpai and officials including Director (TA & Hills) then inspected Eklavya Model Residential School, under construction at Berupam, Chandel.

Later, he visited a Handloom Cluster at Chandel town before inspecting the General Manager (DIC) Office Chandel.

He also visited the office of the GM(DIC) & Industrial Estate, Chandel, under construction.

Later, he held a review meeting with Forest officials at the Divisional Forest Office, Chandel to discuss various ongoing forestry activities and also the future works to be taken up in the district under the Chandel Forest Division.

Anurag and the officials also visited a permanent Forest Nursery at Komlathabi.
