Awareness / blood donation camp held

The Ningol Club, in collaboration with Humanity Service Foundation and JNIMS Imphal, and with support from the EcoNetwork Manipur, organised an awareness cum blood donation camp under the aegis of Federation of Civil Society (FOCS) .
The camp held at the JNIMS Blood Centre, was conducted under the theme "Athouba Ema Singda Kathokchaba Ee" .
Speaking at the occasion, FOCS president BM Yaima Shah praised the young daughters who participated as blood donors, calling their contribution a noble act of service to humanity.
He noted that their willingness to "help others at a young age was a commendable example of social responsibility.
He emphasised that blood is life itself, and that donating blood can save many lives during emergencies and times of need.
Applauding the donor's spirit of sacrifice, he encouraged them to continue donating in the future, stating that the act carries no harm and plays a crucial role in saving precious human lives.
During the event, Dr O Geetchandra, Associate Professor, delivered a talk highlighting the benefits of blood donation and reassuring participants about its safety.
A total of 25 donors, including several female donors, contributed blood during the camp, marking the event as a meaningful step toward promoting voluntary blood donation and humanitarian service.
