Traffic restrictions in Churachandpur ahead of VVIP visit

In view of the scheduled visit of a Very Very Important Person (VVIP) to Churachandpur district on September 13, the District Information Centre (DIC) has issued a public advisory outlining traffic restrictions and security measures.
From September 12, parking of vehicles along Tedim Road will be prohibited, with designated inner and outer cut-off points for private and heavy vehicles.
Special parking arrangements for both invitees and the public have been made at various playgrounds and open spaces, including Mini Secretariat Campus, ECA Diamond Jubilee Ground, Tuibong Playground, and Lamka Public Ground.
On the day of visit, movement of vehicles on the WIP route from STC-BSF to Peace Ground via Tipaimukh road will be restricted from 10 am onwards, except for emergencies.
The public has also been advised to not carry items like keys, pens, water bottles, bags, handkerchief, umbrellas, lighter, match box, sharp objects or arms at the venue.
Sitting for the public will be allowed between 8 am to 11 am, after which entry will be restricted.
Authorities have urged residents to use public transport services and avoid bringing children under 12 years or medically unfit persons to the venue.
The District Information Centre, Churachandpur request for full cooperation from the public to ensure the smooth conduct of the programme.
