Imphal, October 09 2025: Joining the rest of the world, Horizon Hospital & Research Institute in association with Lions Club of Imphal East observed World Sight Day 2025 today at the hospital premises in Khurai Soibam Leikai, Imphal.

Additionally, the 10th Foundation Day of Horizon Hospital & Research Institute was also celebrated.

The event was graced by dignitaries, including Prof W Gopimohan Singh, past district governor, District 322D; L Meghachandra Singh, president, Lions Club of Imphal East; Dr Y Yaima Singh, managing director, Horizon Hospital & Research Institute; and Dr P Rajmani.

On the occasion, speakers shared that World Sight Day is observed annually on October 9 to bring attention to eye health, highlighting the importance of preventing vision impairment and blindness and advocating for universal access to quality eye care.

Later, a Free Eye Screening & Cataract Detection Camp was conducted.
