SWC, LSSDYC celebrate Foundation Day

Imphal, September 09 2025: The 43rd Foundation Day of Social Workers' Congress (SWC) was celebrated today at its office premises in Khongman on the theme, "Enhance Community Service" .

The celebration was graced by Moirangthem (o) Nungshirei Devi, ex-Pradhan, Khongman GP; Ringku Khumukcham, editor, Imphal Times; Th Oxford, District Supply Officer, CAF&PD; Puyam Sorojini Leima.

The event began with the offering of floral tribute to the deceased land donors, founders and members of SWC .

It was followed by felicitation of 36 meritorious students (Class X & XII) and 18 outstanding sportspersons from Khongman area.

Moreover, the 63rd Foundation Day of Langdum Samaj Sudhar Dal Youth Club (LSSDYC) was celebrated on September 7 .

The event was graced by L Rameshwor Meetei, MLA Keirao AC; KB Ingaremba, president, LSSDYC; Heirom Dhamendra, Member, Bamon Kampu Zilla Parishad; Keirao GP, Ward No 5 Member, Asem Manichandra and Ward No 6 Member, Kangabam Romila Chanu as presidium members.

Offering of floral tributes to deceased members of LSSDYC, presentation of Meritorious Awards to students and dance, songs & poem recitation competitions were the main highlights of the event.
