Imphal, May 09 2009: THE CONTROVERSIAL drama of arrest of Khwairakpam Megha of Kakwa Naorem Leikai Liwa Lambi by a gang of Manipur police commandos around 10 am of May 6 from Khagempalli in the heart of Imphal, then handing him over to Imphal Police Station by another gang of Assam Rifles saying that he was arrested from Moreh on May 8 has become the latest vivid example of extreme torture by the state forces and Indian security forces, the Revolutionary People's Front (RPF) has stated.

What is funny about the whole drama is mention of the name of RPF in it, GM Changjou, Chief of Department of Publicity, RPF, stated in a press release today.

Changjou said that this time it can not be concealed further that the favourite of Delhi, O Ibobi and his close associate DGP Y Joykumar have been continuing a reign of terror in the name of counter insurgency operations.

When Kh Megha was arrested by constable Thangumang Lingel (No.0615033) and 1st MR rifleman Doukhochan Touthang (No.08200019) who are in the Oscar-107 team of Imphal East district police commando, he was charged of being a member of KCP (MC).

This has been corroborated by the personnel of Imphal West district police commando who identified the two.

And the fact that Megha had been handed over to Imphal PS by the 31 AR saying that their troops arrested him around 10 am yesterday from Moreh town and charged him as a self styled Private of PLA clearly shows that even the IOF has been involved in the gang, Changjou pointed out in the press release.

Changjou further pointed out that there is a hidden motive behind the arrest of Megha in Imphal and subsequent arrest of him at Moreh two days later.

The incident has also unveiled the mask of the drama of peace talk and SoO of which the script writer is DGP, Y Joykumar and Director is CM O Ibobi.

In order to conceal the secret activities of Manipur police commandos, Megha had to be taken to Moreh.

While taking him to Moreh, one leader of a faction of KCP (MC) could not take part in the meeting of the Joint Monitoring Group held in Imphal on May 8 .

Therefore people must understand what was behind the incident.

Because as soon as arrest of Megha was reported, the senior police officers started looking for him.

It would be nearly impossible for anyone to take Megha from Imphal to Moreh while the top police officials were looking for him, the press release stated.

Ever since Manipur merged with Indian union, the incidents of killings and arrests took place the most during the reign of SPF government led by O Ibobi.
