Lecture on "Workplace Well-being" conducted

As part of the Lions Mental Health & Well-Being Week, Lions Clubs under Zone-IX, Re-gion-V of District 322D, hosted an awareness lecture on "Workplace Well-Being", delivered by Dr S Manikanta, Senior Psychiatrist at Maipakpi Hospital, Imphal today.
As per a release issued by Lions Club of Imphal, the Mental Health Week is an initiative of Lions International president AP Singh and is to be observed from October 4 to 12, 2025 by Lions Clubs across the globe.
In his lecture, Dr Manikanta said, "About 62 percent of the population is employed in various sectors.
Hence keeping this large section of the population in good mental health is of paramount importance" .
"To achieve this, there is a need for good interpersonal relationships, job security and a good working atmosphere", said Dr Manikanta while adding that new concepts like time management at workplace and continuous skill upgradation training of supervisors may be adopted.
The programme was attended by H Manikumar Singh, past district governor; Y Manglem, RC, Region-V; Dr P Brajamani, MJF, DC (Mental Health); Dr Kh Tomba, MD, Maipakpi Hospital; members of Lions Club of Imphal, Lions Club of Imphal Valley, Lions Club of Imphal North, Lions Club of Imphal Valley Nextgen and staff of Maipakpi Hospital.
