Imphal, September 07 2025: As part of the "129th Lamyanba Irabot Ningsing Thouram, 2025", Imphal East District United Clubs' Organisation (IEDUCO) under the aegis of AMUCO conducted a tree plantation drive at Biramangol College campus in Sawombung today.

The drive was organised in collaboration with North East United Club Organisation (NEUCO), Anouba Khongthang VLF Sawombung, Biramangol College, Sawombung Khunjao, Sawombung Thongkhong Meira Paibi and local clubs.

Speaking at the event, IEDUCO president Kh Orendro said that September is an important month in the history of Manipur as both the death and birth anniversaries of Lamyanba Hijam Irabot fall in September.

"Every September, various activities are conducted to honor the legacy of Lamyanba Hijam Irabot and spread awareness about his contributions to social justice, equality, and the struggle for peasants and workers' rights", he added.
