Imphal, April 07 2026: In view of the tragic situation in Manipur, MANFETE 2026 has been postponed until further notice.

The event was set to be held from April 9 to 11 at Manipur University, Canchipur.

A press release issued by the Organizing Committee of MANFETE 2026 said in a press release that the heartbreaking loss of innocent lives, including a 5 year old child and a 5-month old infant has left the entire community in grief.

According to the Committee, certain sections of the society have raised their voices regarding the suspension of public events during this difficult time.

Prioritizing the sentiments, safety and well-being of everyone, the Committee asserted that it is a time for unity and reflection.

The Organizing Committee MANFETE 2026 has extended its sincere and heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and everyone affected.

The revised schedule will be announced through their official channels once the situation improves, it further informed.
