Assam Rifles flags off National Integration Tour from Pallel Garrison

Assam Rifles flagged off a 15-day National Integration Tour (NIT) from Pallel Garrison, Kakching District, under its Civic Action Programme.
The initiative is designed to promote national integration, encourage cultural exchange and strengthen communitybonds.
A total of 29 individuals, including 23 participants drawn from civil society organisations of Modi, Pallel and neighbouring areas - comprising 13 men and 10 women - along with six accompanying personnel from Assam Rifles, set out on the journey.
The tour was formally flagged off from the Deputy Inspector General Sector Headquarters Assam Rifles at Pallel in the presence of senior personnel.
Over the course of the 15 days, the group will travel to Ahmedabad, Delhi, Shillong and Dimapur.
Their itinerary includes visits to historic landmarks, national monuments and sites of cultural and religious importance, fostering patriotism and appreciation of India's diverse heritage.
The participants will also engage with eminent dignitaries including Draupadi Murmu, President of India; Nityansand Rai, Minister of State; Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera, AVSM, SM, Director General Assam Rifles; Lieutenant General Bhavnish Kumar, AVSM, VSM, General Officer Commanding Delhi Area; Maj Gen Gaurav Bagga, General Officer Commanding 11 Division; Lieutenant General Abhijit S Pendharkar, AVSM, YSM, General Officer Commanding 3 Corps; Chandrashekhar H Vijayashankar, Governor of Meghalaya; and Shri Acharya Dewrat, Governor of Gujarat.
This National Integration Tour, the first of several planned for 2026, offer the people of Manipur a meaningful opportunity to experience India's cultural richness firsthand.
