Negating the claim of Th Chaoba, president of BJP Manipur Pradesh that the decision of the Central Government to set up Sports University in the State was the results of his efforts, Chief Minister O Ibobi asserted today that the dream of setting up of Sports University in the State was materialized only due to the hard efforts put in by sports players of the State who have won uncountable number of medals in various event for the country.
The CM was speaking at the inauguration of election campaign of E Dwijamani who has been fielded by the Indian National Congress as its candidate for contesting in the ensuing Hiyanglam By-election scheduled to be held on October 17 .

Unlike BJP, the Congress party has been taking up various developmental plans in both hills and valley which was why the party won the Manipur Legislative Assembly Election 2012 with a bigger margin, the CM added.
Deputy CM Gaikhangam who was also present during the campaign said that the false propaganda being adopted by BJP in their bid to win the Hiyanglam By-election will not bear fruit as people's faith are with Congress which has been bringing in development in hills and valley at equal level.
