Hundred Flowers Institute of Medical Sciences inaugurated

A new chapter in healthcare education began today with the inauguration of the Hundred Flowers Institute of Medical Sciences (HFIMS) at Thangjam Khunou, Pangei Road, Imphal East.
Naorem Praveen Singh, Secretary, Youth Affairs & Sports, Manipur attended as chief guest.
Chairperson Mehrun Nisa, Hundred Flowers Society presided.
Guests of honour included Dr MA Razaque, former HOD, Chest Medicine, RIMS; Dr Md Raheijuddin Sheikh, Principal, Moirang College; Dr Nepram Swarnalata, PCI Central Council Member; Dr James Elangbam, MD, ACME Fertility and Healthcare Centre; Syed Abdul Samad, SP, Manipur Central Jail, Sajiwa; and Badrur Rahman, former Adhyaksha, Imphal East.
The programme began with ceremonial plant watering and a welcome address by Mehnaz Nasreen.

Managing Director Jabir Rahman said HFIMS was established to provide quality and affordable education in allied health sciences and meet the growing demand for skilled professionals in Manipur and the Northeast.
Praveen Singh inaugurated the institute by cutting the ribbon and toured classrooms, labs and the library.
He expressed confidence that HFIMS would produce competent healthcare professionals and strengthen the State's healthcare system.
Speakers urged students to pursue the profession with dedication and ethics.
The event concluded with cultural performances and a vote of thanks.
