RAMP capacity building programme launched at Shingcha village

Ukhrul, September 04 2025: An intensive capacity building programme under the Rural Awareness and Motivational Programme (RAMP) was launched at Shingcha village under Sahamphung, Kamjong district today.

The awareness session highlighted the objectives of RAMP, with DFO Nepolean Rongmei and social activist Pamreiso Shimray attending as key resource persons.

The programme focuses on capacity building in areas such as eco-tourism, homestay, cinnamon processing, handicrafts including woodcraft and bamboo, as well as photography and videography.

DFO Nepolean Rongmei mentioned that experts from relevant fields were invited to educate and impart training and guidance to benefit the local villagers.

The initiative, which began on Sep 4, will continue until September 16.On the opening day, around 50 participants, including village elders, youth, and women representatives of Shingcha village, actively took part in the awareness programme.
