Rotary Club of Polo City Imphal launches RY 2026-27 with tree plantation drive

Imphal, July 04 2026: The Rotary Club of Polo City Imphal launched Rotary Year 2026-27 with a tree plantation drive at Khuman Lampak Stadium under the campaign "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam", aligning with Rotary International's theme "Create Lasting Impact".

Led by president Dr Ch Deepak Singh and secretary Adarsh Jain, rotarians planted 50 saplings across the stadium premises to promote environmental sustainability and honor mothers while contributing to a greener Manipur.

At the event, Dr Deepak Singh said, "Create Lasting Impact is not just a theme; it is our commitment.

Through Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam, we dedicate each tree to the spirit of motherhood and to a healthier planet.

This is the impact we want to create in Imphal".

He thanked the Director, Youth Affairs & Sports, Manipur, for permission to plant inside the stadium, and the Unlimited Walking Club for joining the initiative.

The club resolved to monitor and maintain the saplings through regular follow-ups to ensure they flourish.
