'Depute specialists at CHC, Chakpikarong

Imphal, July 04 2024: Anal Lenruwl Tangpi (ALT)/Anal Naga Students' Union, Chakpikarong Branch has urged authorities concerned to consider sanctioning of specialist positions at CHC, Chakpikarong including one post each of obstetrician & gynaecologist, general medicine, general surgeon, anaesthesiologist, paediatrician and pathologist.

In a release, information and publicity secretary Rt Phetha expressed ALT's heartfelt appreciation for the successful conduct of the Extended-Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan (E-PMSMA) at CHC, Chakpikarong on June 27."We commend the District Health Society Chandel, led by CMO/mission director Dr Joyson Mathew Monsang, for their exemplary efforts in organising this vital health programme," it said.

ALT also mentioned that participation of the distinguished district team, including specialists in Gynaecology and Sonology, significantly enhanced the quality of care provided to expectant mothers in the community.

"We are particularly grateful for the mobilisation of pregnant women, especially those at high risk, ensuring they received necessary care and attention.

This initiative has undoubtedly contributed to improving maternal health outcomes in our region," it said.

Emphasising the need for continuous improvement of healthcare services in Chakpikarong, ALT stated that addition of the requested specialists would further strengthen the local healthcare infrastructure, reducing the need for referrals and ensuring comprehensive care for the community.
