CRPF empowers youth with computer skills

Imphal, April 04 2026:
The 169 Battalion, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) hosted a closing and certification ceremony today at Don Bosco School in Phayeng, celebrating the successful completion of its second batch computer training programme.
The six-week course, held from February 4 to March 16, equipped 13 youths and students from remote areas with basic computer operations and essential digital skills.
Designed to boost employability and daily efficiency, the programme drew enthusiastic participation, with all attendees earning certificates.
169 Bn CRPF Commandant Suresh Kumar addressed the gathering, underscoring digital education's vital role in modem life.
He affirmed the CRPF's dedication to community development and nationbuilding alongside its core security duties.
Dignitaries included Second-in-Command Baljinder Singh; Assistant Commandants Jawed Hussain and Jitender Kumar of 169 Bn CRPF; SHO, Lamsang PS, Abhijit Pandey; teaching faculty from Innovegic Global Institute Pvt Ltd, Bitan Laishiram and Suresh Laishiram; and the president of Kangchup village.
Local leaders and villagers praised the battalion's initiative, highlighting the value of such community partnerships.
