Churachandpur Meitei bodies convene meeting, passed several resolutions

Imphal, July 02 2025: A joint meeting of five organisations under Churachandpur Meitei United Committee (CMUC) - namely Meitei Society Churachandpur, Meitei Youth Organization, Churachandpur Meitei Ethnic Clash Victim Committee, Ema Leimarel and Nupi Samaj was convened today at the pre-fabricated house in Kwakta.

The meeting, attended by the president, secretary, and other key members of the respective organisations, was focused on the ongoing challenges faced by Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the aftermath of the ethnic unrest.

After a thorough deliberation, the gathering unanimously resolved the following key actions- i) to stage sit-in protest demonstration across the Relief Camps of Manipur starting from July 3, 2025 ii) to visit the Relief Camps of Manipur and discussed with the IDPs regarding the proposed agitation and iii)to intensify their agitation if no tangible response is received from the Manipur Government following the agitation.
