Imphal, May 02 2026: A booklet on "Apou Koklou" was released on May 1 at the House of Worship of Tingkao Ragwang, the Supreme God.

As per a press release issued by Apou Koklou Kalummei Phuam (Worshipping Committee of Apou Koklou), the booklet was released by Lingamlung Dangmei, vice president of Tingkao Ragwang Chapriak Phom, Assam, Manipur and Nagaland.

Notably, Apou Koklou is known as the younger brother of "God Bisnu" who resides at the peak in Pongtinglong Village (Charoipandongba) in the Mount Koubru range.

He is the Peipou, owner of the God's Court on earth.

According to the Committee, Koklou is honoured as one of the pantheon Gods who continues to guide, protect and influence the lives of the community.

The traditions associated with this deity are preserved through rituals, oral narratives and collective practices that have been handed down across generations.

These living traditions not only reflect faith but also embody the identity and continuity of the Kabui (Rongmei) people.

The booklet is an effort to bring together available knowledge about Koklou in a concise and respectful manner.
