3 MT of organic Kiwi sent to Patna, Delhi

Imphal, October 01 2024: The Manipur Organic Mission Agency (MOMA), Department of Horticulture and Soil Conservation, Manipur in collaboration with Sushila Foundation for Agricultural and Rural Development (NGO) has initiated sending organic Kiwi to Patna and Delhi via train from Dimapur today.

The organic Kiwis were produced by the farmers of Jeweled Land Organic Farmer Producer Company Limited, Senapati, under the Mission Organic Value Chain Development for North Eastern Region (MOVCD-NER).

Speaking to the media, Donald Soubam, Project Director of MOMA, mentioned that approximately 6 MT of Kiwis will be sent on a weekly basis to major cities like Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Patna, and Lucknow.

Altogether 30 MT of organic Kiwis will be sent this season to support the farmers, he said.
