Imphal East completes 100% digitization of enumeration forms for Electoral Roll Revision

Imphal, July 01 2026:
Imphal East district has achieved 100 percent digitization of Enumeration Forms (EFs) for the Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls, 2026, as the Enumeration Phase concluded on June 28.The drive, which began on May 30, saw Booth Level Officers (BLOs) visit every household across the district's 10 Assembly Constituencies-Khundrakpam, Heingang, Khurai, Kshetrigao, Thongju, Keirao, Andro, Lamlai, Yaiskul, and Wangkhei- to distribute, collect, and verify forms.
Out of 3,31,602 electors under 432 polling stations, 3,30,338 EFs were distributed.
Of these, 3,14,893 forms were digitized, while 16,709 remained uncollectable due to reasons including death, untraceable/absent, permanent shifting, and prior enrollment.
The Draft Electoral Roll will be published on July 5, 2026 .
Claims and objections can be filed from July 5 to August 4, with disposal of claims scheduled from July 5 to September 2 .
The Final Electoral Roll will be published on September 6, 2026.A meeting on rationalization of polling stations was held on June 15 with the District Election Officer, EROs, AEROs, ZEO officials, and political party representatives.
The SIR aims to ensure "no eligible citizen is left out while no ineligible person is included" in the roll.
Every Indian citizen aged 18 or above on the qualifying date and not disqualified under law is entitled to enrollment.
